Range of Services and Pricing

IPSAction provides schools with documentation, action plans and dedicated software to enable principals to confidently meet their accountability requirements. We will do the hard work and develop customised plans and strategies for the local school context. We offer these professional services at a flat rate of $1400/day (plus GST)

Schools are at different stages of development so principals can select the most appropriate services from an inventory.

Application for Independent Public School Status

  • Process facilitation e.g. focus groups, interviews, staff meetings, slick picks, CBAM.
  • Data collection, presentation and analysis e.g. survey data, SWOT analysis
  • Production of documents: rationale, evidence of capacity, school organisation

School IPS Reviews

  • Schools undertaking the process for the first time are may be supported by:
  • Determining agenda, formats, roles for various members of the school community
  • Document preparation, presentation.

School Self-assessment

  • Schools support for self-evaluation at various stages in the cycle:
  • ERS validates the work being done in the school. Identifies strengths and weaknesses.
  • Discussion with the principal: ‘hunches’ / hypotheses? Converted to surveys
  • Design and deliver targeted surveys to establish ownership, commitment, need.
  • Facilitating involvement in the processes by various stakeholders
  • Produce and present condensed data for understanding and decision making

Business Plans

  • Facilitate agreement on shared goals with specific SMART targets, and measurement and monitoring processes to provide verifiable evidence of improved student learning outcomes.
  • Collect and analyses data: quantitative and qualitative information is to be examined.
  • Provide processes for the preparation of the Business Plan document – under direction from the principal; and then the draft of the Business Plan document itself.
  • Produce required documents
  • Prepare implementation plan with full details of the implementation plans: what, for whom, why, when, how, with what, how much, so what, how well
  • Produce high quality business plans and a professional presentation.

School Improvement / Action Plan

  • Implementation plan: What, for whom, why, who, when, with what, so what, how well.
  • SMART Targets are adopted: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-lined.
  • Strategies to address the targets. Methods of intervention. Action lists.
  • Allocate resources: personnel, financial, physical, emotional support. Budgets to be prepared.

Curriculum Programs and Student Learning Outcomes

  • Curriculum design and professional learning programs for targeted intervention – to address the key goals and improve learning outcomes.
  • Whole school curriculum coordination services e.g. alignment to Aust Curriculum
  • Assessment schedules e.g. formative, summative, diagnostic and standardised tests
  • Data collection and analysis e.g. NAPLAN ranking,

Monitoring and Measurement – Verification

  • A methodology is designed to collect and analyse data to inform the progress on outcomes achievement.
  • Improvement plans are reviewed annually to evaluate the effectiveness and to evaluate information on the strategies that have been adopted.
  • Reflect- response to the evaluation. Revise the Plan. There is a cycle of continuous improvement.

Data Gathering Presentation and Analysis

  • Examine targets. Determine what type of data may be appropriate
  • Establish a methodology to gather, present and interpret data
  • Undertake the process of data collection, analysis and evaluation
  • Produce results – related to existing targets
  • Use the data to produce new targets

NAPLAN – Improved Results

  • Analysis of data for specific target areas e.g. numeracy yr 3 measurement / area.
  • Production of checklists and learning programs to address the chosen areas
  • Provision of ‘Teaching Units’ and student resources relevant to the targeted areas
  • Designing pre-test (diagnostic and base-line data) and post-test assessments to gauge progress and produce verifiable information on school improvement.

ICT for Internal Organisation and Dissemination

  • Dedicated software can be provided to support the processes of: communication, dissemination, sharing, and accountability.
  • Ongoing storage and access is provided to ensure that workload is reduced by cumulative development and value adding to successive documents
